About Us
Unique Charm & Handwork
Back to the roots, or rather back to the trees: that idea was at the origin of Bentwood.
The Challenge
Ordinary wooden rings are generally not very durable. In November 2015 I took on this challenge and began developing my own special process for making high-quality, long-lasting wooden rings. Together with my business partner, and thanks to numerous supporters, we were able to perfect it. And combining the wood with precious metals and diamonds lifts the quality of the rings to a new level once more.
We still make every ring by individual handwork in our workshops in Lohn SH and Ostermundingen BE. All the presses, machines and tools we use, we either developed ourselves or modified to our requirements. You will surely recognise the unique charm of our small workshop in your ring too.

We'd also be happy to welcome you to our workshop to talk through your wishes and ideas. We look forward to your visit!
Yours, Jan Berger

Our Wooden Rings: Swiss Quality That Lasts
Bentwood rings carry the «Swiss Label». The share of value created in Switzerland when making Bentwood rings is over 99%, which means the rings are made largely in Switzerland, from Swiss raw materials. Bentwood will also soon be granted a patent for the special manufacturing process behind the wooden rings, which ensures the durability of the products.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can you really make elegant, delicate rings from wood?+
Absolutely! Thanks to the fine layers of wood, we can make delicate and even slim designs that resemble a classic metal ring.
Do wooden rings absorb water in everyday life?+
Don't worry. Thanks to our unique way of making them, our rings can be worn without a problem when washing your hands, showering or doing the dishes. Our wooden rings are also happy to come along to the sea, the sauna, the steam room, the indoor pool or the mountain lake.
I have to disinfect my hands every day. Will the ring hold up?+
Don't worry, our rings are treated with a resin that is not harmed by even the best disinfectant, the strongest nail polish remover or cleaning thinner.
Can I wear the ring at work as a tradesperson?+
Wood is a durable material! Our wooden rings can also be worn at work on the building site, in the workshop or on the farm. The rings are fit for any everyday life, whether with a shovel, keyboard, scalpel or hammer. Still, always keep your safety in mind and consider whether it would be better to take off all jewellery in the situation at hand.
Can the size of the ring be changed after it is finished?+
We always think about the future too. That's why we build every wooden ring so that its size can be changed later on. Whether larger or smaller makes no difference.
